Mrs. Irene Nail Williams, 101, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Providence Assisted Living in Grenada. She was born October 10, 1916 in Grenada to James Lamar and Levenia Taylor Nail. Irene had worked for many years at the Grenada Water Department and was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 26, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Coffeeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include one daughter, Laura Turner(Mauri) of Monroe, LA; one son, Larry Williams(Pauline) of Indianola; daughter-in-law, Karen Efnor Williams of Johns Island, SC; five grandchildren, Deven Hill(Mitchell), Jennie Cannon(Brian), Doug Williams(Nicole), Jill Turner and Joel Turner(Erin); and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chester Mitchell Williams; one son, David Keith Williams; two sisters and four brothers.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the loving caregivers at Providence Assisted Living and Halcyon Hospice for their devoted care.
