Mrs. Jacquelene "Jackie" Goforth Orsborn, 76, of Grenada, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the Sanctuary Hospice House.  She was born July 29, 1948 in Cleveland to Ora Wilburn and Mildred Blackwell Goforth.  Jackie earned a bachelor's degree in education from Delta State University and has been an educator for over 50 years.  Jackie taught at Winona Academy, Winona Christian School and was instrumental in the ABE program at Parchman Penitentiary.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and sharing and trying new recipes.  Jackie especially loved spoiling her two rescue dogs, Penny and Sandy.  Some of Jackie's most treasured moments were those she got to spend with those she loved at the beach.  Jackie will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Phil McRae officiating.  Interment will follow at 5:00 PM Saturday evening at the Boguefala Cemetery near Mooreville.  The family will receive friends from noon until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Orsborn; daughter, Laura Orsborn of Saltillo; son Lance Orsborn of Columbus; sister, Antoinette Boswell(Jimmy) of Indianola and a grandson, Chase Orsborn.

Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Wayne Goforth.

Marc Card, Lee Grady, John Morgan, Bill Russell, Wes Strowd and John Westmoreland will honor Jackie by serving as pallbearers and carry her to rest in the Boguefala Cemetery.
