James Edward "Boo" Morgan, 81 passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Grenada Living Center.

He was born on February 14, 1936 in Grenada County to Gus and Hazel Jones Morgan. He was a carpenter until he retired, avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt whether deer, squirrel, quail or raccoon. But was probably best at Crappie fishing. Anyone that knew him most likely had a "Boo" story.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Elliott Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grenada. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM Friday at McKibben & Guinn and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Margie Robinson Morgan, two daughters Debbie Houston and her husband Ronnie of Carrollton, Janice Fowler of Greenwood; 4 grandchildren, Lee Houston (Jenifer), Lindsey Pierce (Ramon), Todd Fowler (Melissa), Eric Fowler (Katie); 6 great-grands, Tanner, Jace, Maverick, Maggie, Jenilee, and Emily, one brother, Lewis Morgan of Elliott and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Billy Morgan, Gus Morgan Jr., 2 sisters Mary Elizabeth Nail, Sadie Birdsong, 1 great-granddaughter, Lila Rayne Fowler.

Pall bearers will be Mike Staten, Curry Little, Lee Hankins, Mike Woods, Charles Norris, and Keith McGee. Honorary Pallbearers are Ben McElwrath, Lewis Putman, Hayes Branscome, Al Hankins, Norbert Morgan, W.H. Birdsong, Devo Lancaster, and Earl Robinson.
