Mr. James Doyle Nail, 77, of Grenada, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2026 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born February 28, 1949 in Grenada to Vernon Doyle Nail and Mary Elizabeth Morgan Nail. James Doyle was the long-time owner of Nail’s Pawn Shop and enjoyed the many friendships that he established through the years. James Doyle enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time, but more than anything he enjoyed time spent with his beloved family. He was a faithful member of Elliott Baptist Church and honorably served in the Mississippi Army National Guard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at Elliott Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at Elliott Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Nail; three daughters, Tammy Nail Griffin(Bo), Tonya Nail Wiggins(David) and Hannah Nail, all of Grenada; two sons, Will Jones of Southaven and Jason Jones(Pauline) of Hernando; sister, Patricia Sultan of Grenada; brother, Louie Nail(Pam) of Grenada; six grandchildren, Cody Carson, Zach Wiggins(Mary), Hayden Wiggins(Addison), Garrett Vickers, Gavin Vickers and James Kenneth Reed; and three great-grandchildren, Harper Carson, Adley Carson and Axel Wiggins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Morgan Nail Vickers and a cousin he loved like a son, Michael Stevens.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Cody Carson, Zach Wiggins, Hayden Wiggins, Tyler Nail, Garrett Vickers and Bill Ashmore, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerone Funderburg, Charles Norris and Charles Vance.
