Mr. James Parker, 89, of Holcomb, passed away Monday, December 23, 2019 at Grenada Health and Rehab. He was born May 27, 1930 in Essex, MO. James had worked in construction for many years and was a member of Zion Grove Church of God of Prophecy. James honorably served our country in the US Army during the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, December 27, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. William Tribble officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Memory Hill Garden in Memphis.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mattie Freeman Parker of Holcomb; four sister-in-laws, Fran Osborne of Roanoke, VA, Jean Freeman of Grenada, Louise Freeman of Owasso, OK and Marie Freeman of Enid; one brother-in-law, Dan Freeman and his wife, Sandra of Spring Hill, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.
