Mr. James Truman Weeks, Sr., 98, of Gore Springs, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.  He was born September 10, 1923 in Louisville to Judge and Jennie McGahey Weeks.  Mr. Weeks had spent most of his working life as an auto body repairman.  He honorably served our country during World War II as an anti-tank gunman.  He was the oldest member of Gore Springs Baptist Church.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Gore Springs Cemetery with Rev. Truman Scarborough officiating.

Survivors include three granddaughters, Cristy Fincher(Thomas) of Philadelphia, Sherry Harper(Shunn) of Jackson and Penny Westra(Jonathan) of Anson, TX and ten great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Clark and Jimmy Weeks; and six siblings.
