Mrs. Celia Jane Chapuis Hendricks, 88, of Grenada, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada. She was born January 16, 1933 in Grenada to Roscoe and LaUna Tribble Chapuis. A graduate of John Rundle High School, she was the Salutatorian of her graduating class, Senior Class secretary, member of the National Honor Society, Majorette in the marching band and played clarinet in concert band. Jane worked for a combined 30 years as the Human Resources Manager at Rockwell and Randall Textron in Grenada. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church – Grenada where she had served as a Sunday school teacher and on various committees. Jane was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, graciously served our community as a "Pink Lady" at our local hospital and was an American Cancer Society Volunteer.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Chuck Provine, Rev. Charles Provine and Dr. John Boler officiating.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Artie Hendricks; three sons, Rev. Jack C. "Chuck" Provine, Jr.(Sherry), Robert Craig Provine(Libby) and Rev. Charles Alan Provine; sister, Lynne Robinson Mitchell; five grandchildren, Jason Craig Provine(Elizabeth), Barbara P. Barton(Brock), Robert C. Provine, Jr., Mary Cameron Elizabeth Provine and Paul England; seven great-grandchildren, Savannah Provine, Elsa Provine, Cohen Barton, Camdyn Barton, Jace McCoy, Tristin England and Kelci Brooke England; two nieces, Pat Miller and Helen Marie Chapuis Adams; and three nephews, Bobby Ray Chapuis, Jim Miller and Buddy Chapuis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and LaUna Tribble Chapuis; daughter, Cheryl Hendricks England; son, Ray Miller Provine, grandson, Artie Cameron Provine; sister, Ouida Miller; brothers, Ray Chapuis and Ralph Chapuis and a niece, Jackie Chapuis.
