Ms. Janet Jean Jones Kennedy, 63, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at her residence.

Janet was born October 14, 1958 in Warren, OH and was a 1976 graduate of Grove City High School in Grove City, PA.  Known for her laughter and ability to make friends everywhere she went, Janet turned friends into family for life. Born in the North, Janet thrived in the South for the majority of her life, first in Tennessee and later in Mississippi.  Friends called her Jan and she could always be counted on to go above and beyond. She dedicated her life to her work with an extraordinary work ethic and morals to accompany it. She was loved and respected for many years in her work for Sayle Oil and H.T. Hackney.

Especially telling is the familial bond she shared with her best friend of twenty years, Carol Thomason (husband Willie and daughter Faith), who worked, laughed and talked to her on the phone often. The stories of her wit and sense of humor, paired with her infectious laugh, will be the memories that all will carry with them of Jan.

Survived by sister Carol Jones Reed, Butler, PA and niece Jessica A. (Reed) King (husband Jim, and 5 children) of Hellertown, PA. Predeceased by parents Hilma P.(Stutz) Jones and Adrian E. Jones of Grove City, PA
