Janet Marie Kite Miller, aged 70, passed away on October 8 at home with her family after an extended battle with cancer. She was born in Greenville, MS on July 4, 1954 but spent most of her life in Grenada.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Hugh Reed Kite Jr. and Billie Elizabeth Hudson Kite, as well as her brother, Billy Joe Kite.

She is survived by her husband James Robert Miller, sisters Kathryn Kite Bell and Susan Kite Donald, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews, all of whom were beloved by her.

She graduated from John Rundle High School, and attended Northwest Junior college. Janet worked for many years at Sears and later at GLMC and UMMC before retiring.  She was a member of Christian Life Church. Janet was the rare type of person who befriended everyone she met. As the saying goes, she never met a stranger. She will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service on Monday, October 14 at 1:00 PM and the funeral service at 2:00.
