Mrs. Cinda Janice Dykes Methvin, 78, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Grenada Living Center. She was born June 25, 1937 to Newlon Edward and Cinderella Andrews Dykes. She was a homemaker and worked as a child caregiver at Freeman's Day Care, where she was known to many as "Ms. Janice". She was an active member of Hardy Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. James Melton officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday evening and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Amy Methvin Clark and her husband, Gary of Grenada; one son, Dennis Methvin and his wife, Bobbie of Grenada; three grandchildren, Brad Methvin, Brittany Clark Frazier and Ryan Methvin; one great-grandchild, Bryce Frazier; two sisters, Nora Dykes Martin of Yazoo City and Dot Dykes Owen of Memphis, TN and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Floyd Methvin, Jr.
