Janie Louise Kendall Wood, 75, of Grenada, passed away Sunday June 2, 2019 at Grenada Rehab and Healthcare Center. She was born December 8, 1943 in Cascilla to Sammy D. and Nettie B. Melton Kendall. She was retired after working many years at Pennaco and a member of Stonefield Church of God.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Stonefield Church of God with Rev. Shannon Kendall and Rev. Mark Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Holder(Sonny) of Grenada; three sisters, Marjorie Vaughn of Duck Hill, Phyllis Kendall of Santa Rosa, CA, and Janet Kendall of Grenada; two brothers, James Earl Kendall of Greenwood and Sam Kendall, Jr. of Cascilla; and two grandchildren, Amber Glasgow and Nicholas Glasgow.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Brenda Wood Bell and a sister, Marie Springer.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Allbritton, Henry Kendall, Norris Kendall, Ray Kendall, Roger Morris and Johnny Smith. David Vaughn will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
