Mrs. Jean Grantham Schiele, 85, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Providence Assisted Living. She was born September 13, 1930 in Carroll County to James O. and Mary Myrtle Vance Grantham. She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Carroll County, a former employee of First Tennessee Bank and a devoted homemaker.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 29, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. John Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time Friday at the church.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheryl Schiele Putnam and her husband, Norbert of Florence, AL; one son, Kevin Schiele and his wife, Terry of Brighton, TN; one sister, Dene Gray and her husband, John of Carrollton; two grandchildren, Cody Schiele and Amber Gilluly and her husband, Greg; and two great-grandchildren, Jake and Isla Grace Gilluly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Clyde K. Schiele and a sister, Ellene Trussell.
