Mrs. Jenelle Alexander Carpenter, 64, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 in Memphis, TN. She was born May 22, 1953 to Willie and Carolyn Alexander. Jenelle was a member of Enon Baptist Church. She was a talented homemaker and enjoyed cooking, cake decorating, caring for animals, and spending time with her family. Her true talent lied in making others smile. Jenelle's complimentary nature always uplifted those she encountered. She was an extremely compassionate and loving person to all that knew her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 25, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn with Rev. Fletcher Moorman officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time Thursday with interment following at Gore Springs United Methodist Church.

Pallbearers for Jenelle include Corey Alexander, Scott Alexander, James Gilmer, Josh James, Shawn Lipe and Cameron Tawater.

Jenelle is survived by her husband, Steve Carpenter of Grenada; one son, Chad Carpenter (Heather) of Batesville; two brothers, Melvin Alexander (Susan) of Grenada, Glen Alexander (Becky) of Gore Springs; one sister Karen James of Gore Springs; and a host of extended family whom she loved deeply.

Jenelle is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Carolyn Alexander; her grandparents, Jimmie and Lola Braswell of French Camp, and Dewey and Minnie Alexander of Huntsville, MS.
