Mr. Jerry Roger Bright, 73, of Gore Springs, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Grenada Living Center. He was born November 30, 1942 in Scotts Hill, TN to Weldon and Sue Rogers Bright. He was a retired Postmaster with the United States Postal Service and later worked as Director of Purchasing at Viking Range in Greenwood. He was a member of Gore Springs Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County with Rev. Duane Jensen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his significant other, Gloria Hood; two daughters, Kathy Costilow and her husband, Phil and Suzanne B. Moore, all of Carrollton; one son, Roger Bright of Greenwood; two brothers, Joe Bright and Michael Bright both of Dickson, TN; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Phil Costilow, Doc Kelly, Brent Noah, William Patterson, T.J. Tackett and Ron Ussery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tanner Costilow and Taylor Costilow.
