Mr. Jerry Lee Skelton, Sr., 75, of Greensboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at his residence.  He was born January 24, 1946 in Carroll County to Clifford Carl and Ruby Lee Huffman Skelton.  Mr. Skelton enjoyed a long career spanning 25 years as a Damage Writer with Avis Car Rental.  Following his employment with Avis, he worked another 10 years for Vanguard.  He was a Lutheran and an avid skeet shooter.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Moore's Memorial Cemetery in Carroll County with Rev. Joseph Sansing officiating.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori Muchow and Karla Skelton, both of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Ernie Skelton of Grenada and Myron Skelton of Bogue Chitto; two grandchildren, Matthew Skelton of Memphis and Madison Skelton of Olive Branch; a daughter-in-law, Teresa Skelton of Olive Branch and the mother of his children, Joan Martz of Greensboro, NC.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry Lee Skelton, Jr., and five brothers, Carl, Johnny, Lynn, Robert and Mack.

Pallbearers will be Myron Skelton, Kevin Skelton, Gary Davis, Gunner Smith, Neil Haley and Chuck Easom.
