Ms. Jessie Ellen Brannon, 93, of Grenada, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at her residence. She was born November 25, 1922 in Big Creek to Hubert and Martha Elizabeth Wood Brannon. She graduated from Big Creek High School in 1942 and went to work for Mississippi Associate and then Binswanger Mirror where she worked for over 40 years. She joined Lakewood Independent Methodist Church and served as a charter member until her health failed her.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Grenada Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time on Monday.
Survivors include a brother William Brannon(Merle) of Sonora, GA., a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, best friend for years Betty Thompson, Goddaughter Gail Collins(Jan) and children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Lois, Mary Lee and Virginia and one brother Bobby Brannon.
Memorial may be made to Lakewood Independent Methodist Church.
