Mr. James Provine "Jib" Crawford, 89, of Grenada, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at his residence.  He was born February 12, 1933 in Grenada.  Jib honorably served our country in the Armed Forces for over 42 years.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War and ultimately retired from the Mississippi Army National Guard retiring as a Captain.  Jib was also active in several non-commissioned officer's organizations as well as the Grenada Civitan Club.  He was an active and devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Grenada.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 9, 2022 at First United Methodist Church in Grenada with Rev. Daniel Herring officiating.  Interment with military honors will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Saturday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Sunday at First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Leslie Crawford Howell(Dalton) of Potts Camp; two sons, David Crawford(Debbie) of Fulshear, TX and Scott Crawford(Michelle) of Grenada; seven grandchildren, Kris Crawford(Laura Lynn), Lindsay Stafford(Zack), Jake Howell, Evan Howell, Nick Lee, Phillip Crawford and David Crawford and three great-grandchildren, Beckham Crawford, Lleyton Crawford and Carson Stafford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fisher Crawford, Sr. and Annie Elizabeth Avant Carroll; wife, Ruth Ann Crawford; three sisters, Mary Oswalt, Ruby Ferguson and Scarlett Willoughby; and four brothers, A.F., Lawrence, Billy and Fisher Crawford, Jr.

Jib's grandsons, David Crawford, Kris Crawford, Phillip Crawford, Evan Howell, Jake Howell, Nick Lee, and Zack Stafford will honor him by serving as pallbearers and carrying him to rest in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church – Grenada.
