Mr. George William "Jimmie" Melton, 73, of Grenada, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  He was born February 14, 1949 in Tallahatchie County, MS to James William, Sr. and Christine Williams Melton.  An avid outdoorsman, Jimmie enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial service plans are private.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Cyndi Melton; four daughters, Tammy Burrow of Alvarado, TX, Toni Melton of Abilene, TX, Angela Couch of Alvarado, TX and Michelle Melton of Wyoming; one son, Andy Steele of Mulberry, AR; 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Linda and Ann and a brother, James William Melton, Jr.
