Obituary

Mr. Jimmy Dean Waddell, 85, of Coffeeville, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born May 22, 1932 in Coffeeville to Benford and Helen Harbour Waddell. He was a member of the Coffeeville United Methodist Church, a retired business executive and a US Navy Veteran where he served as a flight engineer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Coffeeville United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacy Douglas and Dr. Jimmy Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Harbour Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until service time Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Flavia "Toots" Waddell of Coffeeville; two daughters, Angela Dean (Mike) of Madison, Laura Lucas (David) of Water Valley; three step-daughters, Deanie Calhoon (Chipper) of Oxford, Keri Jones (Walton) of Starkville and Shannon Denley of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren, Heath Dean, Kimberly Tarlton, Kala Butler, Kyle Dean, Brandon Dean; five step-grandchildren, Cole Calhoon, Keaton Calhoon, Taylor Gentry, Phoebe Jones and Ann Shaifer Jones; one sister, Betty Byford of Coffeeville and one brother, Gary Waddell of McKinney, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mildred Martin Waddell; one step-daughter, Debbie Gentry; two sisters, Macie Rotenberry and Joyce Waddell and one brother, Charles Waddell.
