Obituary

Mrs. Mary Jo Roberson Ingram, 65, of Grenada, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017. She was born November 19, 1951 in Starkville to Marian George and Willie Sue Lewis Roberson. She was a graduate of William Carey University and had worked alongside her husband, Lowell, in the ministry for many years. Most recently, she served as Ministry Assistant at the North Central Baptist Association, a position she had held for over 10 years. An accomplished musician, she had enjoyed serving as pianist at Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada since 2007. She was a devoted pastor's wife and mother and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her ministry was far-reaching and she will be missed by all who knew her.

A service of worship to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 22, 2017 at Hebron Baptist Church in Grenada with Dr. Charles Nail and Rev. Adam Blair officiating. A committal service will take place at 2:00 PM Monday at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Oktibbeha County. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Sunday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Monday at Hebron Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Dr. Lowell Ingram; two sons, Joel Lewis Ingram of Grenada and Joseph Carroll Ingram (Elizabeth) of Noxapater; one sister, Nelda Newell (Dan) of Scottsboro, AL; three brothers, Roy Harold Roberson (Dorothy) of Starkville; William "Billy" Roberson (Debra) of Starkville and Jesse Keith Roberson of Shannon; and four grandchildren whom she adored, Madelyn Grace Ingram, Elijah Vance Ingram, Garrett Ray Ingram and Cooper Doss Ingram.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Marion Sue Roberson and Judy Lynn Roberson.
