Mr. Elmer Joe Couch, 90, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford. He was born July 8, 1927 in Tennessee to Joseph Thomas and Gertie Maddox Couch. A long-time Grenada businessman, Joe had worked as a real estate broker for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada and also was active with the Gideons. Mr. Couch was a member of the Grenada Lions Club and a US Navy Veteran.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. John Boler and Dr. Jim Nunnelee officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Sunday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include three sons, Bill Couch (Gloria) of Jasper, AL, Jimmy Couch (Alice) of Scobey and Steve Couch (Rosemary) of Grenada; one brother, Bill Couch of Sontag; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lanelle Wood Couch, six brothers and four sisters.
