Mr. Joe Glenn Haynes, 87, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born February 26, 1939, in Meridian to Grady and Bobbie Mitchell Haynes.

Joe worked as a truck driver for Pioneer Beef for 27 years before becoming a self-employed owner/operator. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bird and deer hunting, as well as fishing. He was also a talented musician who could play by ear.

Joe was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, March 21, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Tim McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife of 65 ½ years, Donna Haynes; daughters, Anita Haynes and Pam Nail(Louie) of Grenada; son, Steve Haynes of Grenada; sisters, Glenda Sanford and Sonja Haynes both of Duck Hill; brothers, Jimmy Haynes(Mildred) and Terry Haynes(Patricia) both of Duck Hill; four grandchildren, Derek Nail, Matthew Haynes, Tyler Nail(Courtney) and Heather Bell(Conner); five great-grandchildren, Rowan Bass, River Nail, Murphy Bass, Kent Johnson and Conner Johnson; and a special brother-in-law, Jack Wilson of Duck Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Abel, Patsy Wilson and Sarah Laster; and a brother, Larry Haynes.

Charlie Abel, Brad Haynes, Bubba Haynes, Brent Long, Billy Ryals and Todd Sanford will honor Joe by serving as pallbearers.
