Obituary
Joe E. Reves, 67, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at home surrounded by family and friends. Joe was born in Grenada County on June 23, 1948 to the late Edward B. and Gladys S. Reves. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, August 3, 2015 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Brian Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Dianne Fox Reves; a daughter, Amanda Reves Blair (Rev. Adam); a son, Gerald Reves; and three grandchildren, Logan, Emma and Hanna Blair, all of Grenada. He is also survived by two brothers, Harold O. Reves (Nannie Mae) of Grenada and Ralph E. Reves (Lorrine) of Globe, AZ; a sister, Sue Reves Walters of Grenada; a brother-in-law, Douglas Glenn Heath of Starkville; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by a sister, Maggie Carolyn Reves Heath, a sister-in-law, Sharon Ann McReynolds Reves and a brother-in-law, Sgt. Maj. Lloyd Gibson Walters.
Pallbearers will be George Atwell, Mike Collins, Warren Corley, Earnest Smith, Ronnie Smith and Charles Snell.
