Jonathan Michael Whalley born November 2nd, 1996 in Grenada, MS went to be with the Lord Tuesday May 23rd, 2017 at the age of 20.

Jonathan was such a very kind, loving, compassionate, funny, humble and grateful son, nephew, cousin and friend. He was motivated, tenacious and driven to always succeed at everything he did whether it was school, work, or devoting time to his friends and family whom he cherished with all his heart. He graduated with Honors from Grenada High School in 2015. Jonathan just finished his sophomore year with a 4.0 at the University of Mississippi majoring in Finance.  Jonathan's love of music motivated him to become a very talented, self-taught guitar player. His artistic talent expanded to his ability to produce some beautiful drawings and paintings.

Jonathan always had the ability to light up any room with his beautiful and infectious smile. He was such a blessing to this world and will be missed by many. There are no words to describe the impact that Jonathan had on everyone around him and will continue to have through his memory.

Jonathan is the son of Kevin Whalley and Sally Rupp.

He is preceded in death by Larry Whalley and Tien Nguyen.

His living grandparents are Barbara Whalley, and Thomas and Faye Walker.

Other relatives include Eric & LaDonna Whalley, Greg & Mary Whalley, Matthew & Jennifer Whalley, Melanie & Bob Hawkins, Tammy & Mike Owens, as well as 13 Cousins and many others as part of Jonathan's loving family.

The family welcomes friends to the visitation Sunday May 28, 2017 from 5pm-7pm at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service i n Grenada, MS.

A Memorial service will be held Monday May 29, 2017 at 11am at First Baptist Church in Grenada, MS.
