Mrs. Joyce Carolyn McCullar Courtney, 83, of Scobey, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her residence.  She was born March 25, 1941 in Scobey to Boyce Eugene and Guila Lynn Briscoe McCullar.  Joyce was a retired beautician and was a member of Tillatoba Baptist Church.  Joyce loved antiques and always enjoyed attending auctions.  She also loved music, especially when she could attend a live concert. She will long be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 30, 2024 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Rickey Harris officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wayside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Camp(Ricky) of Scobey; three grandchildren, James Nix(Brenda), Stephen Sprouse(Heather) and Tiffany Bardo(Garrett); eleven great-grandchildren, Kyle Nix, Preston Nix, MaKayla McCandless, Nevaeh McCandless, Eli Bardo, Hadley Bardo, Jacob Bardo, Kayedence Hall, Everleigh Sprouse, Lucy Box and Wyatt Box; and one great-great-grandchild, Heidi Nix.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carroll Courtney.
