Master Judson Piercy Cravens, 9-year-old son of Kyle Piercy Cravens and Regan Mitchell Cravens, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born September 15, 2012 in Oxford and has valiantly fought mitochondrial disease for over 6 years.  Judson had a huge heart and loved his family fiercely.  He also enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler, playing with nerf guns and loved anything that was camouflaged.  His sweet spirit and loving heart will be cherished and remembered by all those who knew and loved him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, August 20, 2022 from the Sanctuary of First Baptist Church – Winona with Dr. Tim Mims officiating.  Interment will follow in the Duck Hill Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until service time Saturday at First Baptist Church – Winona.

Survivors include his mother, Regan Cravens; father, Kyle Cravens; sister, Kathryn Cravens; grandparents, Mike and Janet Mitchell and John and Cheryl Cravens; aunt, Mitzi Galason(Ken) with Addison, Kaden and Isaiah; uncle, Allen Cravens(Terra) with Jack, Witt and Price; and his paternal great-grandparents, Delores and Laymon Piercy and John and Martha Cravens.

Jacob Brannon, Allen Cravens, Bill Defenbaugh, Isaiah Galason, Kaden Galason and Dan Herod will honor Judson by serving as pallbearers and carrying him to rest in the Duck Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Judson Cravens Foundation through an account setup at the Bank of Winona.  The foundation will be instrumental in developing a park and playground for special needs children in the Winona community.

The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the many doctors, nurses and other caregivers who gave Judson exceptional care during his illness.
