Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud… It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

The love that Judy Jefcoat Minyard brought to everyone she met does not end with her death. Judy passed away January 3, 2022 at the age of 61 after a courageous battle with COVID. She was surrounded by love as she passed, and we will all honor her legacy by living our lives with compassion and kindness.

Judy grew up in Kilmichael, MS and called that home until 1998 when she moved to build a new home for her family in Holcomb, MS. She worked hard to provide for her family as a lab technician which enabled her to touch the lives of so many people. If you ever had her draw your blood, you know she was not only the best at finding veins, but also was the best at listening and making you feel like family. Her favorite "hobby" was talking with and taking care of others.

Judy is survived by her husband, Gordon; daughter, Elise (Matt); son, Corey (Stacy) and was a proud Nana to her 3 grandsons— Noah, Barrett, and Blaine. She also leaves behind her brother- Danny, sister- Sandra, nieces and nephews and so many others who loved her dearly. Her cheerful smile and giving spirit will be greatly missed.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Lena Mae and Hosea Gwain "Tee" Jefcoat.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, January 7, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.  Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday evening and one hour prior to the service Friday all at McKibben and Guinn.

Pallbearers will be Craig Britt, Matt White, Danny Jefcoat, Corey Hyer, Patrick Stone and Ronnie Roberson.  Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Noah Hyer, Barrett Hyer and Blaine Hyer.
