Mr. James William "J.W." Pickle, 71, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born November 21, 1945 in Grenada to Connie Lee and Winnie Lee Smith Pickle. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada where he served as a Deacon. He was retired from Heatcraft and Advanced Distributor Products (ADP). He was also self-employed as an HVAC contractor and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Barbara Pickle; two sons, Barry Eugene Pickle(Marsha) and Anthony Wayne Pickle(Allison); five grandsons, Hayden, Ryan, Logan, Will and Garrett; two granddaughters, Kalli Ann and Sydney; two sisters, Bernice Newman(David) and Paula Prewitt; one brother, Larry Pickle(Dorothy) and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Faye Walls and Lena Dowdle; one brother, Clanton Decell.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Pickle, Jimmy Walls, Sam Dowdle, Vernon Newman, Earl Newman and Michael Prewitt. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tracey Pickle, Robert Walls, Dean Prewitt, David Pickle, Charlie Pickle, Dale Walls, Thomas Walls and John Dowdle.
Memorials may be directed to the Renovation Fund at Friendship Baptist Church.
