Karen Sue Chamberlain Hipp, 56, of Grenada, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born February 7, 1961 in Houston, TX to Thomas Roy and Gloria Helen Ellis Chamberlain. She was a graduate of the Holmes Community College RN Program and worked for many years at Grenada Lake Medical Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church – Stockton, TX. A lover of animals, she was especially fond of her two cats, Cloud and Little Bit. Having attended culinary school later in life, Karen was an outstanding cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. She also had a special place in her heart for music and enjoyed playing the piano.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada with Rev. Joey Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in the Gore Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time Tuesday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her daughter, Marissa Courtney Hipp of Starkville and her mother, Gloria Chamberlain of Grenada.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Roy Chamberlain and grandparents, Roy and Agnes Chamberlain and Guy and Hilda Ellis.
