Mrs. Karen Patricia Bell Merrill, 66, of Tillatoba, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford.  She was born November 9, 1956 in Michigan to Ray, Jr. and Opal Dunn Bell.  While Karen spent most of her working life as a factory worker, she was also a devoted homemaker.  Karen's heart was in loving and being with her family.  She found great enjoyment in cooking delicious meals and watching those she loved enjoy them.  She will be missed for many years to come.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 24, 2023 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Damon Tipton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery at Tillatoba.  Family and friends will gather from 12:00 noon until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include her son, Michael Merrill(Phebia) of Grenada; father, Ray Bell, Jr. of Tillatoba; sister, Deborah McCool(Tommy) of Tillatoba; brother, Ronald Bell(Elissa) of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren, Victoria Merrill, Nicholas Merrill and Veronica Chambers; and one great-grandchild, Isabelle Chambers.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Opal Dunn Bell; husband, James Michael Merrill and a brother, Thomas Ray Bell.
