Mrs. Katherine Trussell Harbin, 81, of Gore Springs, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Tallahatchie General Hospital Long Term Care Facility. She was born November 30, 1934 in Grenada County to Thomas Edgar and Katie Belle Frazier Trussell. She was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church. Katherine was a good, hard-working woman who dearly loved her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 27, 2015 from the Chapel of McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. Don Trussell and Rev. Rickey Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Saturday evening and one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine Diane Scallions (Charles) of Gore Springs and Rebecca Ruth Smith (Eugene) of Cascilla; one son, Daniel Lee Harbin (Carol) of Olive Branch; a granddaughter, Lauren Diane Loerker (Eric); a grandson, Charles Wesley Scallions and a great-grandson, Anthony Slade Loerker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Garvin Harbin; six sisters and six brothers.
