Katherine Winebrenner was born October 26, 1926, and died on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at her sister's home in Grenada, MS. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Winebrenner, sister Tommie Childers and parents, Jim and Katie McCaulla. Katherine was an active member of Central Baptist Church, where she served for many years. Katherine worked as an office administrator from her younger days at Camp McCain (where she met Bill) until her retirement. She worked at the "Sale Barn", Miss. Valley Gas, Dr. Braswell's Eye Clinic, and Grenada Vocational School, but her real passion was her family. She loved and served her family selflessly her entire life. She knew how to make us feel special. She was a warm and joyful presence, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and an amazing cook. We will miss her greatly until we hear her say "Hey Shugah" in the Promised Land.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, May 2, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service in Grenada.  Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service Monday at McKibben and Guinn.

She is survived by her brother Jim McCaulla (Paula) of Winona, MS, daughter Linda Whitehurst (Tim) of Grenada, son Billy Winebrenner (Gail) of Grenada, granddaughter Amy Killebrew (Casey, Bryce) of Grenada, grandson Chris Whitehurst (Lashea, Addison, Allyson, Kallen, Jaidyn, Avery, Carter), of Grenada, grandson Michael Winebrenner (Roxanne, Eli, Jude, Leo, Andi) of Horn Lake, MS, and granddaughter Barbie Robinson (Clint, Wyatt, Levi) of Cookeville, TN. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews including Lee McCaulla of Torrance, CA, Paul (Bo) McCaulla (Dianne, Aislin, Rowan) of Cordova, TN, Beth Richards (Tyler, Lacey, Brody) of Newark, OH, and Emily Picard (Ryan, Noah) of Starkville, MS.
