Ms. Kathleen "Kathy" McMahan Griffin, 87, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Grenada Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was born October 18, 1933 in Gore Springs to Perry and Irma Harrison McMahan.  Kathy had retired after working for many years at Pennaco Hosiery and was an avid and skilled bridge player.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Gore Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy McMahan officiating.

Survivors include two daughters, Valleria Blaylock and Tracie Dowdle(Sam) both of Grenada; one son, Michael Griffin of Picayune; one sister, Ruth McMahan Banasiewicz of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren, John Andrew Kolb, Joshua Wayne Kolb, Michael Reese Griffin, Morgan Griffin and Lyle Cole and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lucille Martin and Claudine Sykes; and five brothers, Bill, Dick, Clifford, Russell and Durwood McMahan.

Pallbearers will be Lyle Cole, Drew Dowdle, Ryan Dowdle, Michael Reese Griffin, Gavin Kolb, John Andrew Kolb and Joshua Wayne Kolb.
