Obituary

Mr. Kenneth Wayne McMahan, 75, of Grenada, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Grenada Living Center. He was born August 3, 1943 in Calhoun County to George Edward and Lucy Dale Parker McMahan. He retired as a supervisor at Shannon Chair in Woodland and was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada. Kenneth loved gospel music and enjoyed singing any time that he could.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada with Rev. Sherman Barnette and Rev. Johnny Cherry officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Vardaman. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until service time Friday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Holland McMahan; two daughters, June Griffin(Grant) and Tammy Mixon(Butch) all of Houston; one son, Kevin McMahan(Kimberly) of Montpelier; six grandchildren, Cody McMahan, Kenley McMahan, Lindzee Jo Mixon, Ciera Griffin, Jackson Langley and Allison Brents; one brother, Bill McMahan of Coffeeville; two step-sons, Danny Holland and Thad Holland(Amanda), both of Grenada; seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Linda Voyles McMahan; step-daughter, Becky Morgan and six siblings.

Pallbearers will be Donny Card, Garry Denley, Jackson Langley, Curry Little, Cody McMahan, Kenley McMahan, Daniel Morgan and David Thorn.
