Mr. Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Calder, 51, of Coffeeville, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born December 8, 1967 in Grenada. Kenny, an avid outdoorsman, will be remembered as a hard working man who devoted 23 years of his life to Yalobusha County in both District 1 and District 5. Kenny was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Coffeeville. He had spent recent years welding for the public and could always be found offering a helping hand. Kenny was a loving father and was well-loved by many. His passing leaves a hole in many hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 17, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Rev. Elbert McKnight officiating. Interment will follow in the Calder family plot in the Calvary Cemetery east of Coffeeville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time Monday at Calvary Baptist Church – Coffeeville.
Survivors include two daughters, Ashley Calder Nelsson(Nick) of Texas and Harlie Calder of Grenada; three sons, Alex Calder(Leykon) of Coffeeville, Chad Martin and Randy Calder, both of Grenada; his mother, Jamie Depew of Coffeeville; seven grandchildren, Mackenzie Calder, Ozzy Skipworth, Nicholas Nelsson, Cooper and Easton Godwin, Paisley Calder and Alexis Calder; two nieces, Tiffany Calder and Tara Calder; two step-sons, Matt and Dylan Reeves of Coffeeville; step-mother, Barbara Calder of Coffeeville; step-sister, Terry Simpson(Leonard) of Coffeeville; and one step-brother, Jerry Ferguson(Alisha) of Coffeeville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Calder and his brother, Randy Calder.
Pallbearers will be Alex Calder, Randy Calder, Robert Calder, Russell Calder, Jerry Ferguson, Chad Martin, Tyler Potts, Van Potts and Ray Schmitz, III. Honorary Pallbearers will be Emmitt Brown, Lee Church, Charles Liles, Michael Price, Ray Schmitz, Jr. and Filo Simpson.
