Obituary
Cassie Lane Bennett, 60, of Grenada, MS, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born on October 11th, 1961 to the late Maxine and Gene Bennett.
Lane, or "CL," was a devoted father and husband; a skilled outdoorsman and agriculturist; a savvy entrepreneur; a masterfully self-taught cook and grilling machine; a talented musician; and a friend to everyone he ever met.
He lived life fully, and that is evident by the love he leaves behind, embodied by his survivors, which include: his wife, Lynn, and three children, Jeremy, Justin, and Cassie; as well as his brothers, Locke and Haley; and an abundant ensemble of extended family members and friends.
"It makes me happy to make people happy" is something he would often say, and his survivors will move forward with his spirit and this purpose in heart and mind.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his grandparents, Mayzell and Earl Haley, as well as Beal and Cassie Bennett.

Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Lane's life from 1:00 - 3:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2022 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service.
