IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lane
Tucker
October 4, 1928 – July 6, 2023
Mr. Arnold Lane Tucker, 94, of Grenada, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 in Greenwood. He was born October 4, 1928 in Kosciusko to Owen Lamar and Gladys Steed Tucker. Lane honorably served our country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada. A gifted orator with the most distinct voice, Lane spent over 60 years working in Radio and TV broadcasting. Mr. Tucker knew the importance of giving back to his community and served in numerous capacities including working with the Grenada Chamber of Commerce and serving on the Board of Directors at both Grenada Lake Medical Center and Kirk Academy. While all of the above tells a little about the life he lived, he will be remembered best by his family for his devotion and selflessness he displayed to each of them.
A funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada with Father Andrew Nguyen and Father Arokia Savio officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Irene Tucker; two daughters, Linda Brogan(Jackie) of Grenada and Elaine Black(Buddy) of Greenville; two sons, Mike Tucker(Betty) and Scott Tucker(Brandy), both of Madison; eight grandchildren, Lacy Radicioni(Wesley), Christopher Hodges(Brook), Hunter Black(Laadi), Mary Courtney Johns(Josh), Avery Tucker, Michael Tucker, Mason Tucker and Elijah Tucker; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and seven siblings.
Pallbearers will be Allen Ainsworth, Christopher Hodges, Keith Nail, Kevin Pryor, Wesley Radicioni and Michael Tucker. Hunter Black, Alex Bush, Ben Bush, Josh Johns and Eli Tucker will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
