Mr. Larry D. Avery, 71, of Gore Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at his residence.  He was born June 10, 1946 in Grenada to Everett and Margie O'Brien Avery.  He attended the Red Hill Church of Christ.  He was retired from BellSouth and was self-employed for several years.  He served proudly for 23 years in the MS National Guard and several months at Fort Hood Texas during the Gulf War.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Red Hill Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sandra Tierce Avery; daughters, Amy Kent of Grenada, Anne Avery of Baldwyn, Jennifer Avery of Michigan, Leigh Hodges of Tutwiler and Rebecca Bailey of Holcomb; brother, Keith Avery of Grenada; sister, Sandra Payne of Grenada; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Avery.
