Mr. Larry Don Blanton, 70, of Grenada, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born November 18, 1955 in Helena, AR to Pete and Joann Travis Blanton. Larry was blessed to work alongside his parents for over 50 years at Blanton Construction. Larry took great pride in being a Licensed Residential Contractor and used these God-given talents to create the dream homes of hundreds of families in Grenada and the surrounding area. While most of his time was spent working, he truly cherished the time he was able to slow down and spend time with his family. Hunting, traveling, walking nature trails and participating in water sports were among some of his favorite pastimes. However, caring for others was what he did best. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, he was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.  Larry was a loving husband, faithful son and caring father and grandfather.  His absence leaves a hole in the hearts of all those who loved him so much.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2026 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Joey Faulk and Rev. Tim McCaffrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Grenada Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of the service Monday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Milam Blanton; parents, Pete and Joann Blanton; daughters, Michelle Bailey(Trey) and Laura Hubbard; brother, Darrell Blanton; grandchildren, Garrett Benson, Ragan Benson, Harper Bailey and Cassie Neal; step-daughters, Misty Finkley(Jerry) & Tammy Collins; and nine step-grandchildren; Kira Finkley, Emily Finkley, Taylor, Tyler, Tia, Taya, Tara, Tanner and TJ Crider.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Devin Neal.

Trey Bailey, Garrett Benson, Jerry Finkley, Ben Logan, Cooper Miley, Tony Moore, Terry Phelon and Rivers Stevenson will honor Larry by serving as pallbearers.
