IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lawrence
Litten
September 14, 1933 – April 17, 2023
Mr. Herbert Lawrence Litten, 89, of Grenada, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023 at his residence. He was born September 14, 1933 in Grenada to Everett Calvin and Kate Ione Connor Litten. Lawrence honorably served our country in the US Navy as a Navy SEAL during the Korean War. He was deeply committed to the Boy Scouts of America having attained the honor of Eagle Scout and he was also inducted into the Order of the Arrow. Lawrence enjoyed working as an electrician for many years and later owned and operated Litten's Grocery for over 27 years. He thoroughly enjoyed studying history and genealogy and was a member of the Yalobusha County Historical Society and the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp. Lawrence was honored to have served as Chaplain of both organizations. He enjoyed fishing in his spare time and was a gifted story teller who always could put those in his presence at ease. Lawrence was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed attending and worshiping with fellow believers. While his passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who loved him, we find comfort in knowing he is at peace and at home with his Savior.
