Mrs. Learline Sultan Abel, 88, of Grenada, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Grenada Living Center. She was born June 19, 1930 in Grenada County to Fred Daniel and Bessie Hemphill Sultan. Learline had worked at Pennaco Hosiery, Walters Shoe Store and later in life, operated a child care business. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Faulk and Rev. Brian Abel officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Wednesday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Thursday at Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, E.G. Abel(Melody) of San Antonio, TX; one sister, Nannie Mae Reves(Harold) of Grenada; three grandchildren, Chrissy Arnold(Matthew) of Birmingham, AL, Corey Woods of Coldwater and Dora Abel of San Antonio, TX; and three great-grandchildren, Austin Lott, Haiden Woods and Lacey Woods.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elijah Abel, Jr.; daughter, Nancy Abel Sultan; and three brothers, Algeon, Donald and Samuel Sultan.

Pallbearers will be Brian Abel, Jr., John Abel, Ricky Reves, Colby Sultan, Donnie Sultan and Jonathan Sultan.
