Obituary

Mr. Lee Munstenteiger, 79, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Methodist Healthcare – LeBonheur in Germantown, TN.  He was born August 3, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN to Leo and Adeline Munstenteiger.  Lee was a retired sales manager with Heatcraft in Grenada and had previously worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Wright County, Minnesota.  He was a devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada and was active in the Knights of Columbus.  Lee honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He was also a member of the American Legion and had served in numerous leadership capacities.  An avid outdoorsman, Lee enjoyed fishing and hunting at every opportunity.  While Lee enjoyed many hobbies, spending time with his family was his most treasured time.  Lee enjoyed sharing his love for Jesus with anyone whom he encountered.  He especially enjoyed sharing gospel tracts with those who needed an uplifting word.  Lee will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Grenada.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday evening at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his daughter, Nikki Palazzolo(Sam) of Grenada; three grandchildren, Nicholas Palazzolo, Adam Palazzolo and Hannah Palazzolo; sister-in-law, Barb Munstenteiger of Grenada; nieces, Shannon Delinger and Sherry Munstenteiger; and great-nephew, Brandon Munstenteiger.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Karen Munstenteiger and a brother, Lester Munstenteiger.

The Knights of Columbus will honor Lee by serving as pallbearers.
