Mrs. Leigh Atwell McCaw, 90, of Gonzales, LA passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in Grenada, MS.  She was born July 18, 1934 in Georgetown, LA to George Washington Atwell and Bessie King Atwell.  Leigh spent most of her working life as a secretary with Fruehauf Trailers and also owned and operated her own beauty shop.  Leigh was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed playing golf in her spare time.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Georgetown United Pentecostal Church in Georgetown, LA with Pastor Derick Martin officiating.  Interment will follow in the Lincecum Cemetery near Georgetown.  Family and friends will gather from 1:30 PM until service time Sunday at the church under the direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Directors in Alexandria, LA.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Rogers of Houston, TX; sister, Barbara Womack of Sikes, LA; brothers, Willis Atwell of Jena, LA and George Atwell of Grenada, MS; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Sarah.

Leigh is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Pern McCaw; son, Robert McCaw and sisters, Viola Woodall and Betty Morgan.

David Atwell, Jeff Atwell, Jerry Atwell, Michael Atwell, Christopher Godwin, Glenn Williams and Lloyd Womack will honor Leigh by service as pallbearers and carry her to rest in the Lincecum Cemetery.
