Obituary

Linda Tucker Brogan passed away on April 19th after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the love of her family and dear friends. In her final moments, she was held in the arms of her beloved husband.

Linda was born to Lane and Irene Tucker on July 21, 1955 in Greenwood, Ms. She graduated from Pillow Academy and went on to earn her Bachelor of Education degree from Delta State University. For 32 years, she dedicated herself to teaching in the public school system, where she touched countless lives. Many of her students fondly remember her as their favorite teacher—a testament to the kindness, patience, and encouragement she gave so freely.

Of all the roles she held, Linda’s greatest joy was being a mother. She was truly born for it. Later, she embraced her role as a grandmother with even greater delight. Known affectionately as “Nunu,” “Neno,” and “Lulu,” she answered to every name her grandchildren lovingly gave her. They adored her, and she adored them beyond measure.

Linda found happiness being with her friends and family. She cherished traveling with her friends, especially her treasured annual “girlfriend trips.” She loved cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, spending time reading, relaxing at the beach, and floating peacefully in a pool. Above all, she loved being with her husband—they shared a life full of laughter, joy, and unwavering companionship.

She was preceded in death by her father and her late husband, Bill Mann.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love through her devoted husband, Jack Brogan; her daughter, Lacy Radicioni (Wesley); and her son, Christopher Hodges (Brook). She also leaves behind her cherished stepchildren, Katie Bailey (Andy), Beth Mann, Steve Brogan (Becky), and Patrick Brogan (Ashley), Robyn Bennett( Jim) all of whom she loved dearly.

Her memory will live on in her beloved grandchildren: Mac Hodges, Tucker Radicioni, Bowen Hodges, Carolyn Radicioni, Lane Hodges, Charlie Bailey, Denley Bright, Lowe Bright, Madison Bennett, Lauren Brogan, and Rileigh Brogan, and great-grandchild Luna Bennett.

She is also survived by her loving mother; her sister, Elaine Black (Buddy); her brothers, Mike Tucker(Betty), and Scott Tucker (Brandy); and her nieces and nephews, Hunter Black (Laadi), Mary Courtney Johns (Josh), Avery Tucker, Michael Tucker, and Mason Tucker, and Eli Tucker.

Linda also leaves behind dear friends who stood faithfully by her side, especially during her final days, including Randy Hodges (Tracey) the father of her children.

Linda’s life was one of love, laughter, and lasting impact. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will continue in the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at First Methodist Church in Grenada. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service Wednesday at First Methodist Church.
