Linda Edwards Lewis, 68, of Holcomb, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Baptist Reynolds Hospice Residence in Collierville, TN.

Linda graduated from Blue Mountain College, and received a Masters Degree from Delta State University. She first taught in the Charleston public school system for 13 years before becoming the head of the biological sciences department at Holmes Community College in Grenada where she retired at the age of 62. Linda was an accomplished pianist and vocalist, and spent much of her time serving in the church and travelling to share her love of God through music.

She was preceded in death by her parents Durell and Geneva Edwards of Holcomb and her husband, Gary Lewis.

Survivors include her son, David Lewis, his wife Tara and granddaughters Caroline and Kate; her daughter Leslie Lewis and granddaughter Amelia Ferguson; her brothers Larry Edwards (Sarah), Ronald Edwards (Judy), Donald Edwards (Margaret), and her sisters Becky Long (Johnny), Lori Lance, and Rhonda Bailey (Tim).

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 8 ^th at Holcomb Baptist Church, in Holcomb, MS. Funeral services will also be held at Holcomb Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 9th . Interment will follow in the Holcomb Cemetery.
