Mr. Lonnie Lee Perry, Jr., 76, of Grenada, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born October 6, 1942 in Grenada to Lonnie Lee Perry, Sr. and Aline Hood Perry. He retired after working for many years at both Randall Textron and Bowater. He had also faithfully served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoorsman always ready to go hunting or fishing. The light of his life was his children and grandchildren and he will be sorely missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 21, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. James McElroy, Rev. Jerry McNeer and Rev. Eric Gregg officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather from 12:30 PM until service time Thursday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Perry; one daughter, Melanie Perry Gregg(Eric) of Charleston; one son, Marcus Perry; two sisters, Mary Ruth Turnipseed of Grenada and Susie Myers of Houlka; two brothers, Jimmy Perry and Richard Perry, both of Grenada; one granddaughter whom they raised as their own, Alana Perry; and two grandson, Ian and Ivan Gregg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Dorothy McDill and two brothers, Francis Hill Perry and Billy Roy Perry.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Fortner, Richard Harrison, Bobby Joe McDill, Charles Snell, Joe Turnipseed and Floyd Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Carson, Billy Nail and Claude Perry.
