Mr. Louie Ivan Freely, 93, of Grenada, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Mississippi State Veteran's Home in Oxford. He was born December 1, 1923. He was a retired maintenance supervisor, World War II Army Veteran and an avid gardener.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather 30 minutes prior to the service Wednesday at the cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Ellen Spencer(Joe) of Grenada; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mr. Freely was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Freely; two sons, Louie Ivan Freely, Jr. and Thomas Cleo Freely; one brother and one sister.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimers Association or the American Cancer Society.
