Mrs. Syble Louise Pierce Hodo, 73, of Coffeeville, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center – Grenada.  She was born January 23, 1949 in Philadelphia to Frank and Lannie Phillips Pierce.  Mrs. Hodo will be remembered as a devoted homemaker.  Fishing and tending to her flowers were among her favorite hobbies.

In accordance with Mrs. Hodo's wishes, there are no public memorial service plans at this time.

Survivors include her daughter, Rosie Miramontes(Samuel, Sr.) of West Sacramento, CA; three sons, John Hodo(Becky), Randy Hodo(Christina) and Justin Hodo, all of Gore Springs; daughter-in-law, Debra Hodo of Coffeeville; eight grandchildren, Samuel, Jr., John, Jr., Thomas, Sadie, Jason, Anthony, Cristy and Rachel and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Clyde Hodo and two sons, Billy and Wayne Hodo.

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to her daughter-in-law, Becky Hodo, whom she loved like a daughter, for serving as an excellent caregiver during her final days.
