Obituary

Mrs. Louise Cook Williams, 88, of Grenada, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Providence Assisted Living in Grenada. She was born July 24, 1929 in Yalobusha County to Roy Craig and Sarah "Sallie" Flemmons Cook. Louise worked for over 30 years for Pennaco Hosiery in Grenada. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Grenada and the Green Thumb Garden Club. Louise and her late husband, Bill, enjoyed traveling all over the country in their later years.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 9, 2018 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Dr. Jim Nunnelee and Bro. Keith Burnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Friday at McKibben and Guinn.

Survivors include a son, Bill Williams, III of Jackson; sister, Bobbie Jean Burnett (Keith) of Russellville, KY; grandson, Philip Ashley Williams of San Antonio, TX; and daughter-in-law, Susan Haile Williams of Grenada.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Owens "Bill" Williams, Jr.; two sisters, Doris Chapman Huffman and Peggy Ann Williamson; and a brother, James "Son" Cook.
