Obituary
Mrs. Lucile H. Edwards, 96, of Coffeeville, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Grenada. She was born October 6, 1919 in Oakland to James Isaac and Ouida McCorkle Haynes. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Coffeeville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 18, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Coffeeville with Rev. Truman Scarborough and Rev. Craig Baker officiating. Interment will follow in the Broadstreet Cemetery near Coffeeville. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the church.
Survivors include two daughters, Vernell Gray of Coffeeville and Vera Shows of Louisville; one son, Rev. James Edwards and his wife, Shirley of Coffeeville; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Leroy Edwards.
Pallbearers will be Jim Edwards, Timothy Edwards, Gaylon Gray, Jay King, Joshua Shows and Mark Shows.
